Trip report: PCT north from Snoqualmie Pass

I only had 6 miles on tap this morning, but I wanted to get out in the mountains, so I planned aΒ route that would start at the Pacific Crest Trailhead (PCT) heading north from Snoqualmie Pass. From there I hoped to take a left onto the Old Cascade Crest trail (OCC), then go right on …

Two weeks ago on Mother's Day weekend a skunk sprayed 🦨 in our crawl space and we ended up spending Mother's Day (and many days after) deep cleaning our house. πŸ€’πŸ˜†
Black Canyon as the grand finale to Tom's birthday weekend. It is endlessly fascinating to me how a river changes depending on water level (and watercraft! πŸ˜‰) The Methow river at 13,000 cfs in a friend's 14 ft raft with a solid paddle crew was pure splashy fun through some big waves. Yeehaw! Love getting to know this river in all the seasons.
Happiest of birthdays to this guy! I sure am glad you were born. ❀️
Home to Harts Pass - well, a few miles shy of the pass. The road is currently rideable and snow-free to about one mile past Cache Creek.
Family hike through the wildflowers. I love these two, and I love this place where we get to live.
One last ride up the pass before it opens to πŸš— 🚚 πŸ›» πŸš› for the summer.
